Jun Shihan Anna Morgan

Jun Shihan Anna began her martial arts training with Kyokushin while living in Brisbane. On her return to Wellington in 1992 she started her Seido journey under the guidance of Sei Shihan Ben. She has continued to train in the Wellington dojo ever since.

In 1997 she earned her Shodan (1st Dan black belt), and was graded to Kyoshi (5th Dan) in 2015 and Jun Shihan in 2023. Anna has competed in numerous tournaments both in New Zealand and overseas. Her most successful results were in kumite.

Anna is a very experienced teacher, both in karate, and as a trained primary school teacher. She has been the Deputy Principal at Te Aro School since 2012.

As a karate instructor Anna focusses on perfecting basic technique, syllabus, and strengthening spirit.

Classes that Jun Shihan Anna instructs are:

Tuesday 6-7pm adult beginner’s class

Thursday 7-8pm adult blue belts and above general class

Saturday 9-10am Kata class – range of grades
